About
EU Law Radar tracks preliminary references on their way to the Court of Justice of the European Union: the questions national courts ask, reported when they are lodged and followed through to judgment. It covers European competition, E-Commerce, IP, labour, and privacy law.
History
EU Law Radar was created in 2012 by Stephen Vousden, a barrister who turned to writing about EU law. He researched and wrote the case reports published here between 2012 and 2017. That archive is widely cited in academic literature, and it is preserved on this site unchanged, at its original addresses.
Today
The site is now maintained by a new editorial team, which restored the archive and continues its original mission: reporting new references lodged at the Court, and updating archived reports with the judgments that followed (the Outcome notes at the end of older reports). Stephen Vousden is not involved in the current publication; the archive remains credited to him.
Our editorial rules are simple: the questions referred are quoted verbatim from the official texts; every report links the authentic documents on CURIA and EUR‑Lex; corrections are logged, never silently overwritten.
